Low Carbon Lithium

for Europe’s Energy Transition

Disrupting the Lithium Production Market

Prime Lithium, a subsidiary of the Deutsche Rohstoff AG, is spearheading the transformation of the future German industrial landscape amidst the dynamic growth in electromobility. In response to the substantial shortage of battery raw materials in the future, we are committed to playing a pivotal role by engaging in sustainable production of lithium hydroxide monohydrate (LHM).

Our strategic emphasis revolves around efficient technology, with active efforts to develop and implement sustainable lithium production specifically tailored to batteries for electric vehicles (EV). We aim to establish a cutting-edge facility for large-scale production of battery-grade LHM, leading in value chain innovation to enhance industry resilience and address the critical shortage of battery raw materials in the coming years.

We are determined to supply the European market with low carbon lithium.
We place a strong focus on processes and technology to improve efficiency and sustainability.

Dr. Axel C. Heitmann

Chief Executive Officer

Prime Lithium has assembled a team of over 20 international experts in Lithium and Chemical industry.

Our focus lies on the application and further development of the latest chemical process technology.

Prime Lithium will produce battery grade lithium in consistent quality with the lowest possible environmental impact.

A reliable part of the lithium supply chain in Europe

The transformation of the global automotive industry towards electric vehicles will dramatically reduce CO2 emissions. To achieve this goal, a new innovative value chain is needed. Sourcing and manufacturing the key battery products that the European automotive and battery industry needs are critical factors. This will enable Europe to reduce transport-related emissions, guarantee high environmental and social standards, and reduce dependence.

Demand

In 2030, the EU will require more than 600,000 tons of Lithium Carbonate Equivalent (LCE) to meet its demand for EV production.

Supply

The EU’s current lithium supply is almost completely being sourced from Asia and Latin America.

Technology

We are shaping environmentally friendly lithium production with proven and drastically enhanced technology.
