A reliable part of the lithium supply chain in Europe
The transformation of the global automotive industry towards electric vehicles will dramatically reduce CO2 emissions. To achieve this goal, a new innovative value chain is needed. Sourcing and manufacturing the key battery products that the European automotive industry needs are critical factors. This will enable Europe to reduce transport-related emissions, guarantee high environmental and social standards, and reduce dependence.
Demand
500 GWh planned battery capacity requires the supply of 400,000t of Lithium Carbonate Equivalent in the EU for production.
Supply
Currently no Lithium production for Europe’s Lithium Battery Industry and very little activity in the EV supply chain.
